Looking back
I see him.
Alone.
Lost.
Walking the street
Amongst his fears,
Avoiding them while
Drowning in confusion -
Concealing his tears
From the world.
Many times, He felt like giving up.
They always had
What seemed an argument
Stewing inside.
"I'm not a brother"
They would say.
"Men are dogs,
"I'm not like the others".
But still, They never gave up.
Looking back I am grateful.
I see her.
Full.
Present.
Walking with purpose
Amongst her fears,
Confronting them while
She flies high with hope -
Never hiding her tears
From the world,
Sharing Her story
To those who feel like giving up.
